Every so often, so many things happen that I want to update you guys on, or I feel like you can help me out with something. Don't worry, though. There are no surveys in this email—again, thank you all for putting up with them. If you never did anything else for me but read this newsletter, that was more than enough. Today's newsletter is one of those newsletters. Full of good news, updates, and a small ask at the end. With that said, let's jump into it! First, let’s start with the coolest news of all. “Hard Lessons From The Hurt Business: Boxing And The Art of Life” made a Barnes and Noble list of “Most Anticipated Self-Help and Relationship Books” of 2025. I know it means nothing for how successful the book will become, but it’s cool to see a major book retailer recognize you this way. We also received a nice number of pre-order requests for signed copies. The book’s PR machine doesn’t quite start until February, so for now, I’m just enjoying the calm before the storm and preparing myself in other ways. That includes primarily planning a podcast tour to promote the book, seeking sponsors for the podcast tour, and creating the pre-order bonuses. It also includes continuing the training for the fight, which is part of the book's promotion. My YouTube Channel just cracked 10k subscribers (make sure you subscribe here). Some of you are on this list because of my YouTube Channel. I know 10k subscribers isn't "Big YouTuber" territory, but it's significant to me for several reasons. I started taking YouTube seriously in 2024 because I think it will be a significant asset for promoting "Hard Lessons From The Hurt Business." I had tried a few times before, but I failed miserably. However, I had a strong enough reason to figure things out this time. I poured my heart and time into consuming every resource out there. I bought new equipment and learned new processes. My writing made massive strides because I had to learn to hold attention long enough to trigger the algorithm to promote my videos. So far, everything I’m doing is working out well. You can see the growth of my channel below. I wasn't expecting all the cool people I'm finding. I cut my teeth on Twitter and built myself up there, but I'm kind of tired of the platform. I'm never one to complain, so I didn't do that. Instead, I just jumped to a different platform. Some of the love I've received on YouTube is fantastic. There are trolls, too, but some awesome people remind me that the world needs to hear my message. That platform also happens to pay me for my content, has a sophisticated enough algorithm to get it in front of the people who will enjoy it, and is the 2nd biggest search engine in the world. In one of my previous emails, I asked people about their interest in a cohort with me where I teach the low-edit, AI-assisted process I've used to create videos quickly videos. There were enough responses on social media when I asked, so I've put together a waitlist below. If you are interested in the Zero Edit YouTube Workshop, click the link below. You can sign up for the waitlist, but clicking it is enough because I'll send information about the workshop and YouTube tips to people tagged as clicking on the link or who are on the waitlist. In other words, don't click on the link if you are not interested in joining the cohort. Otherwise, you'll receive emails you're not interested in. Who needs that? I'm promoting that cohort this way because I've listened to your feedback. While a few of you are interested in learning my writing and content creation skills, most of you are not here for that. I can spare you any posts dedicated to the YouTube Growth cohort by promoting this way. With that said, I'm giving a $100 discount to anyone who signs up from the waitlist. So, even if you're on the fence, you lose nothing from signing up or clicking.
On Feb 1 or 2nd, I'm speaking at a *free* virtual summit on fatherhood. I'm excited to do this because the organizer is a good guy. I think an event centered around becoming the best husband and father you can be is sorely needed if for no other reason than that fathers are essential. For the women reading this, I don't think fathers are more important than mothers. Now that I'm a father myself, I can't imagine raising my son by myself or even with a lower-caliber woman. The event is just themed to improve men's leadership skills in the family. I'll be speaking on how men need to deal with unresolved trauma from their childhood so they don't pass it on to their children. This topic is important to me because of the trauma I experienced in my childhood (single mom, physical abuse, poverty, violent neighborhood, neglect, the list goes on). I had to do a lot of work just to be a normal person—and I'm still doing a lot of work. Still, I think I've made enough progress to help men navigate the issues that WILL come up as they watch their children grow. If you’re interested in attending, here’s the link!
I'm almost done with my jar of Morning Would. I've been talking about this supplement for a few weeks because I think it's an excellent, good-tasting alternative to coffee. I'm still team "Coffee So Black," but this is a great supplement for energy and focus if you aren't keen on coffee. I know many people who only drink decaf or don't drink coffee at all. It also works as a pre-workout, and it has a lot of three-bodied spectra of electrolytes (Magnesium, potassium, and sodium). I'll be doing a full write-up on this in the upcoming weeks, but you can grab a bottle in the meantime by using my link below with the discount code "ED10" to save 10% on your order.
Ah, one more thing. I don't know how many of you own companies, sell products, or have a podcast/newsletter. If you have one of the first two, let's discuss a partnership now that my YouTube channel is on the rise and I'm about to be exposed to a large audience to promote my book. If you have a podcast, let's discuss me coming on your podcast. And something else I remembered: Is there anyone on my list who has a direct contact at Meta? Or happen to be a Meta employee? If so, shoot me a message. Other than that, I appreciate you all. Without you, I'd be just some dude on the internet shouting into the ether and hoping someone picks up the frequency of what I'm putting down. |

Life has been hectic. Most of the writing for my book “Hard Lessons From The Hurt Business: Boxing And The Art of Life” is done, but interestingly enough, writing a 70k word book with double-digit rounds of editing while moving and dealing with a new baby is not even the most intensive part. The book is officially available for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and wherever else you buy books from—even Target. As I gear up for the promotional push of the book, I’m laying the foundation...
A fun part of parenting, where my kid decide to enjoy the snow this way. Three months before we found out my wife was pregnant, my mom died. If you have any sympathy or sorrows, they're appreciated, but long-time readers of my content know that my mom and I had a mostly tenuous relationship, and we weren't close. Still, she was my mother, and despite many of her shortcomings and failures, I credit her with some of my good traits. To this day, I can't stand the idea of destroying a book,...
At 3000 words, today's newsletter is longer than usual. But it's an important topic I feel strongly about. Anyone who follows me on Twitter/X knows how much I can't stand extreme, binary thinking. Today's newsletter is a breakdown of why that happens on social media and what you can do about it. Also, today's newsletter is sponsored by one of my favorite tools for ensuring I don't fall prey to sensationalist news stories. Ground News aggregates all news reports on a story, compares headlines,...
